"Tough Guise"

When thinking about the “tough guise,” the first benefit of it that comes to mind is that they don’t have to deal with emotional stuff. To an extent they might get more girls out of it, but after awhile the girls will realize that it is just an act that some men like to put on.

I think that some consider it “male-bashing” just because for once something negative is being confronted and pointed out about men. In my opinion, “male-bashing” technically isn’t even bashing; it is simply just discussing the frustrating things that guys do that annoy me.

I believe that it would be difficult for boys of color to overcome the stereotype that is tied to them while growing up. Even if they grow up to be respectable, they would still have a difficult time gaining the trust of others. This is part of why this problem continues – because they don’t believe they will ever gain a positive reputation, so they don’t think it would be worth it to fight for it.

These portrayals significantly influence the way the majority of the white population sees men of color. We are a nation full of stereotypes, and we aren’t very open to people outgrowing, or losing their stereotype.
